Winter Share Options

in

The end of the regular CSA season has some of us pining for more. Don’t despair—you can get local veggies all winter long by signing up for a Winter Share. If you are currently a member of a CSA, check with your core group to see if your site is organizing a Winter Share. Due to the tropical storms in September, Winter Shares options this year are more limited than usual. The shares below are open to everyone (not just current CSA members), but they are likely to sell out quickly, so act fast!

CSA Network Fees and Benefits

in

Fees

  • $1 to $5 per share per season (based on the number of vegetable shares); the sliding scale allows CSAs with different average incomes to choose the level appropriate for their members.
  • The fee can be rolled into an annual administrative fees, itemized as a Just Food CSA Network contribution, or added to the share price by the farmer. The farmer and Core Group should determine which option works best for their CSA.
