Farming for NYC Toolkit

The Farming for NYC Toolkit is a resource for farmers within 250 miles of New York City who are interested in connecting with direct marketing opportunities in NYC.  This toolkit is based on the experiences and advice of farmers we currently and previously have worked with.  Divided into "Off the Farm" and "On the Farm" sections, this toolkit outlines all of the marketing options available for local farmers through Just Food including CSA in NYC , City Farms Markets, and Fresh Food for All.  This toolkit is designed for regional growers who already know how to farm but are looking for new ways to market their products.  It is intended to be a collection of suggestions for how to successfully market to NYC eaters, including information on how Just Food's programs work, how to get involved, and where to find additional marketing, technical, and financial support.
