The Just Food CSA in NYC Conference is an opportunity for CSA members and farmers from around the city to come together for a day of workshops, discussion, and good food.

For the conference keynote session, join Just Food founders and past executive directors Kathy Lawrence and Ruth Katz, and current CSA in NYC program manager Paula Lukats, as they discuss the evolution of the CSA movement in New York City over the past 15 years, as well as its impact on regional farmers and city residents.
Farm Panel
The afternoon farm panel will provide attendees the opportunity to ask CSA farmers questions about regional agriculture and to get their perspectives on CSA. Joining us this year will be: Galen Ballantine of The Ant Hill Farm, Deborah Kavakos of Stoneledge Farm, Chris Cashen of The Farm at Miller's Crossing, and Fred Lee of Sang Lee Farms. Please e-mail wenjay@justfood.org questions you would like CSA farmers to answer. There will also be an opportunity to submit questions at the conference.
The conference will conclude with a reception and expo, featuring New York City purveyors of local, artisanal food and drinks from Jimmy's No. 43, Breezy Hill Orchard/Knoll Kreset Farm, The Piggery, Raindance Organic Farm, Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery, Cooperstown Cheese Company, Argyle Cheese Farm and Brookside Farm, Magui's Artisanal Chocolates, and Grandaisy Bakery.
Lunch
Lunch will be provided. Participants will have a choice between:
Organic green salad
Roasted vegetable salad
Goat cheese and grilled zucchini sandwiches on organic wheat rolls
Red lentil hummus and grilled zucchini sandwiches on organic wheat rolls
Coffee and tea will not be served during registration. See our list of nearby coffee/tea places for your early morning pick-me-up!
