La Familia Verde Farmers Market

Tasks: Flyer the neighborhood, including nearby WIC and senior centers
Skills/qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish

The Market at Bissel Gardens
Location: Baychester Avenue just south of 241st Street, Wakefield

Opportunity: Market Volunteer
Tasks: Flyering the neighborhood, including WIC, senior and community centers; help put together the Wednesday Senior Program; assist with keeping harvest logs
Skills/qualifications: Positive attitude; preferably bilingual (mainly Spanish but other languages useful); ability to work independently and run with a shared idea; strong computer and internet skills helpful.
Timeframe: July 9 to November 12, Wednesdays anytime and/or Friday mornings

Mott Haven Farmers Market

Tasks: On Wednesdays help market organizers set-up or break-down for each market day. Includes arranging tables, tents, banners, and assisting market farmers.

Timeframe: July 6 to November 9, market set-up from 8-9:30am or market break-down from 4:30-6pm on Wednesdays (market day)
