COMMUNITY WORKSHOP SERIES

What Are City Farms Workshops?

City Farms workshops are open to the public and usually free. Some workshops have a small materials fee. We offer a variety of workshops on growing more food in NYC, preserving and preparing food, selling at markets, and on food justice issues.

How Can I Find Out about Upcoming Workshops?

See our Community Workshop Series Calendar to the right on this page! The City Farms workshops are also listed on our City Farming NYC Meetup group. Join this group to learn about events, gatherings and workshops related to city farming in NYC and also to share resources and have discussions with other city farmers.

Who Leads City Farms Workshops?
City Farms workshops are led by and for, gardeners and farmers.  Just Food Trainers are skilled NYC community gardeners who lead hands on workshops where participants learn new methods, ask questions, and share ideas.

How Do I Schedule A Workshop In My Garden?
We schedule a limited number of workshops based on requests. Most workshops are scheduled by April of any given year. To schedule a workshop in your garden, choose a workshop topic, location, best dates and times and contact Greg Anderson at greg@justfood.org; (212)645-9880 x229.

Just Food will help you to find a trainer on the topic of your choice. You will provide the workshop location and do the outreach to let your neighbors know about the workshop!
